Over the years Susan Staley has sought self-expression through a variety of forms of visual and performing arts. This has led her to a professional musical career, giving hundreds of performances, music workshops and currently singing in the group, The Solstice Sisters, as well as receiving a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University.

It was after serving an apprenticeship in stained glass from 1987 to 1989 at Glass Roots Studios in Battle Ground, Indiana, that Susan became interested in creating her own designs. She makes stained glass boxes, whimsical hangings, stars and jewelry using unusual glass textures and bold colors.

Susan Staley has owned and operated her studio, GLASS TREASURES, in Athens, Georgia since 1992. Her creations are sold at art fairs in the Southeast and she has received awards at Bele Chere, in Asheville, NC; City Stage, in Greensboro, NC; Chiaha Arts Festival in Rome, GA, Gum Tree Festival in Tupelo, MS and Gulf Breeze Art Festival in Gulf Breeze, FL.
