Sharon is a self-taught artist who began her education with a box of crayons and a bedroom wall. Rather than scolding Sharon for her misguided artwork, her Mother encouraged her creativity and allowed her to develop a unique style all her own.
She works with various mediums that include textiles, sculpture, and mixed media and a variety of subjects ranging from wildlife to contemporary industrial art. Her passion centers around color and texture and she attempts to utilize these passions in most of her work which adds interest to the art.
Sharon lives on Lake Hartwell in Toccoa, Georgia and enjoys the local art shows and festivals. She is active in the Currahee Artists Guild and enjoys teaching classes and doing individual commission pieces especially painted furniture.
