I started making toys for the kids in my life. As the kids got older , they out grew the toys . But I found the need to create was still there.
With some basic tools and the need to "do something" I started carving animals. It was a great start. Then I tried my hand at other projects .
Bowls turned out well and they led to different shapes - Cowboy boots of all sizes, tea cups , complete with saucer & spoon, candle stands, cookie jars, spoons, ladels, goblets and walking canes with various knobs.
I have found I like to work with exotic woods. There are many shapes in my mind and I've got to find the right piece of wood to create them . It is a wonderful , fulfilling passion!
A man without a work shop is not complete!
