I was born and grew up here in Habersham County.

I started working with wood as a carpenter at 14 years of age, helping my dad on houses he built after school. I became a builder on my own and had my own construction business for years. I always had a passion for rustic carpentry, such as log cabins and cabinetry and furniture.

During the economic downturn, I lived in a real secluded place with a lot of forest land. I began to explore the trees that surrounded my place. I always liked to draw and was always good working with angles. Eventually, all my skills evolved into the processes I use in my tables.

Now I’m getting more into colors of wood and finding out more about the effects of weather and rain on what’s called spalting, which is water marked wood.
