Kathy was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in Sarasota, Florida. After graduating from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, she decided to pursue a career in education and spent thirty years as a high school science teacher.
In 2005, Kathy opted to retire and moved up to the Northeast Georgia mountains in Tiger, Georgia with her husband and her hunting dog. While in retirement, Kathy decided to search for a new hobby to help pass the time. Unfortunately, she found no success with a paint brush and had trouble locating the center of a pottery wheel.
It wasn’t until after breaking a few dishes that she heard her new calling and has pursued that calling ever since. She found that using a few tools in connection with broken plate, tile and glass pieces put a big smile on her face and satisfaction in her heart!
